Overview of bathroom remodeling
The reason to remodel or build out a new bathroom varies but most people choose to remodel because their existing bathroom is outdated and doesn’t suit their home any longer. Remodeling your bathroom also increases your home’s resale value with pleasing aesthetics, up to code plumbing, and better/more recent moisture proofing.
We’ve worked on multiple bathrooms that just needed an update but then turned out their subfloor was rotten underneath. Waterproofing methods have improved in the past 10 years and we strongly recommend waterproofing most of the bathroom floor.
If you’re finding yourself cleaning out your bathroom more than you’d like or noticed that calling out the plumber has added up – it may be time to update some things. How we do it
Initial consultation
The initial consult includes discussing what you want your bathroom to look like and the primary purpose for it. We’ll also add on to your ideas with suggestions for materials and design.
Selection
You’ll need to select the type of materials you want in the bathroom and any other added features.
Design
We will send you an illustration of your final design and make any final tweaks before we finalize a path.
Estimate
We will send over an estimate – it is good for 30 days. At this point we can still make changes to the design. We will not be ordering materials or applying for permits (if needed) until this estimate is approved. After you approve the estimate, we will put you on our schedule and begin ordering materials.
Construction
Construction begins usually around the time the materials arrive and the permits are approved.
